What should I do if my data sample contains personal information?

Modified on Tue, 26 Jan, 2021 at 5:22 PM

This article applies for platforms accepting the exchange of Personal Data. To find out if this approach is available to you you can contact the team responsible for your account. If not, go to the first step of the offer submission, section "The data" to see the types of data available.

When you add your data to your offering, a representative sample of that data is generated which is visible on your offering form.

As this representative sample is created automatically, it could contain personal data. In that case, you will be asked to indicate the columns in question. Those columns will be blurred so that they are not visible on your offering form, even though the data will still be present in the full dataset.

What if my file only contains personal data?

If your file is comprised exclusively of data containing personal information, that data must be blurred. This means that the sample will not be useful as such, but the acquirer can still evaluate your data by checking your diagnostic or by contacting you via the dialog box.
